KIDS HOPE USA is a nationwide mentoring program that creates church-school partnerships that pair church members with at-risk elementary school kids in supportive mentoring relationships.

KIDS HOPE USA mentors spend one hour per week, reading, talking, playing and listening to a child at school. By helping the child feel loved and valued, they help that child to learn, grow and succeed.

St. Stephen’s was the first church in South Carolina to become a KIDS HOPE USA affiliate member when we initiated the program in 2010.  We are proud to be partnered with Loris Elementary School in Loris, SC.  We currently have 30 mentors, 11 substitute mentors and 30 prayer partners actively involved in this children’s ministry at St. Stephen’s.
