MINISTRY FOCUS
BELL PEALS Deadline Dates are the third Sunday of the month: (next deadline is February 19). Please send your articles via e-mail to bellpeals@yahoo.com.
DOK: Grand Strand Hospital is in need of gently used magazines (no older than 2 months). DOK has taken this on as a mission. The magazines will be given out at the hospital's Gift Shop and will be greatly appreciated. Please place your magazines in the box outside the Conference Room. Thank you for your support.
FLOWER GUILD: The Flower Guild finds it necessary to raise the minimum donation for the weekly Altar flowers to $60.00. We have managed to keep the donation at $50.00 for the past ten years, but with the rising cost of the flowers, we need to increase the donations. Thank you in advance for your wonderful support of this ministry.
Honor Flight Grand Strand/Myrtle Beach proudly offers local WWI Veterans a NO CHARGE "trip of a lifetime" to Washington, DC, where they will visit their WWI Memorial. A heartwarming "Welcome Home" celebration will await their return to Myrtle Beach International Airport. Should you have a surviving friend or relative of World War II who would like to be included in the May 23, 2012 Honor Fight, please call (843) 957-8212.
KIDS HOPE USA - Won't you please help?
VOLUNTEER - We encourage you to get involved with KIDS HOPE USA, the program phase of our Loris Vision and our church's mentoring program...to find out how you can be the one to come along side an at-risk child at Loris Elementary School and offer that child HOPE, call our program director, Connie Lawson, at 843-280-4664.
TALKIN' TRASH - Please bring in your recycle items (there is a schedule in the Narthex) so they can be taken to the school during the appropriate month/week to help Loris Elementary School with their collection. Let's all pitch in to help the children and protect our environment at the same time!
TREATS FOR TEACHERS - Please sign up in the Narthex or call Marialice Phillips at 843-249-6930 if you can make a special treat for our teachers. It's just a little something we leave in the staff lounge each month to let them know how much we appreciate all they do.
BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION - Please check your food and non-food items for box top coupons. Each box top is worth 10 cents, and with us helping, that will add up fast for Loris Elementary! A collection box is on the table in the Nursery.
