SECOND ANNUAL GRAND STRAND PRO-AM GOLF TOURNAMENT

The 2nd Annual Grand Strand Pro-Am Golf Tournament was held on June 18, 2008 at Arrowhead Country Club. Our goal of $10,000 to be raised from the tournament to benefit the Grand Strand Helping Hands was met and exceeded. Jim Fellner, Head Golf Professional at Long Bay Club, wound up with a one-stroke victory by shooting a one under par, 71. Team winners were Dennis Nichol, Ron Paige, Tom Raub and John Lavin. This year's event also included a nine-hole shoot-out. Twelve players qualified with scores of 74 or less.

We raised $9,600 in hole sponsorships combined with $25 per hole sponsorship by Lowes Foods stores ultimately raising a total of $12,000 for the charities.

The 3rd Annual Grand Strand Pro-Am Tournament will be held on June 17, 2009.
